I'm not going to lie to you, Bossy Life had a BOMB Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend. With almost tripling what we projected, we know that we did not stumble across success. Our success came from using strategies that are proven to boost anyone’s sales no matter the industry. If your Black Friday gave you the blues, It’s Okay! There is always next year and Christmas sales to make it up. As you take the time to analyze your business’s Black Friday weekend you may be thinking what could I have done better? Here are 5 strategies you can use during the next holiday to help you reach your sales goals. In fact, I will be using these strategies throughout the entire year.
1) TOP-OF-MIND AWARENESS
Top-of-mind awareness measures how well you rank in the minds of your consumers. For example if you have a hair care company, when your consumers are looking for a product to help with hair growth, you want them to think of you first before anyone else. How do you do that? By finding your unique selling point, being proactive and shamelessly promoting yourself. If you waited until Black Friday to promote your offerings you waited too late! Stay in front of your audience using multiple channels, not just instagram. You need to find new ways to reach your audience and build a relationship based off repetition.
Fear of missing out marketing appeals to your consumers desire to take advantage of every opportunity before it slips away. Many people would rather make an impulse purchase than miss out on an opportunity. Appeal to that. Use phrases such as "limited edition" ,"ends soon", "while supplies lasts", "limited quantities", "Only form this hour to that hour" in your messaging strategy and marketing campaigns.
3) REWARDING LOYALTY
Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little. Who better to give to than your loyal customer base. Offer a small discount through your mailing list to encourage more orders during this time.
4) EXCLUSIVE ACCESS
Give exclusive and early access to your mailing list. Allow them to be able to shop the sale first. That's the perk of giving out your information and you'll have a way to sell to them in the future. That's a win/win.
5) CREATIVE CAMPAIGNS
Nowadays everyone is selling something. So how will you distinguish yourself from your competition? By Getting creative! It's not enough to just ask people to buy your product! You have to make them want it! Get creative in your campaigns. Use hashtags and Pinterest to get inspiration. Experiment with Lives, Ig TV, Tik toks, and Reels. Look to see what's trending in your industry and make your campaign special by adding your twist. Your product isn't what catches your audience attention, its the creativity for them!
